1. About Chronorent.
Chronorent. is an online marketplace where people ("providers") offer their time, skills, items and spaces for others ("renters") to book. We provide the platform, handle the payment flow described below, and help resolve disputes. We are not the provider of the services or items listed and we are not a party to the arrangement between a provider and a renter, except for holding and releasing payment.
You must be 18 or over to use Chronorent. By creating an account you confirm that you are, and that you accept these terms.
2. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. One person, one account.
- Keep your login details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Some activities, such as sensitive Meet activities, need ID verification before you can offer them.
3. Listings and content
Listings are reviewed by our team before they appear, and we may reject, edit the visibility of, or remove any listing. You confirm that what you post is accurate, that you have the right to offer it, and that photos and text are yours or you have permission to use them.
You give Chronorent. a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display your content on the site and in messages about it, for as long as it is on the site.
4. What is not allowed
You must follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, you must not use Chronorent. for:
- sexual services or sexual content — Meet listings are for platonic companionship only;
- vehicles of any kind;
- anything illegal, dangerous or infringing someone else's rights;
- misleading listings, fake reviews, or impersonating others;
- arranging or taking payment outside Chronorent. to avoid fees or protections;
- harassing, threatening or discriminating against anyone.
5. Bookings
- A renter sends a request with a time and, optionally, a proposed price. The provider has up to 48 hours to accept, decline or propose different terms (less if the start time is soon). The two sides can go back and forth until one accepts. Some spaces are marked as instant booking.
- Once terms are accepted the renter has 20 minutes to pay, otherwise the booking expires.
- The renter pays the agreed price. Chronorent. keeps a platform fee (currently 15%) from the provider's side of each completed booking; the provider receives the rest.
- A booking cannot overlap another confirmed booking for the same listing.
6. Payment, completion and release
- The payment is held by Chronorent. until the service is complete. It is not paid to the provider on booking.
- After the service end time the renter can confirm completion, and the payment is released to the provider straight away.
- If the renter does nothing, the payment is released automatically seven days after the service end time.
- Within those seven days the renter can report a problem instead. The automatic release is then paused and we review what happened. We may release the payment to the provider or refund the renter in full, and we will tell both of you.
7. Cancellations and refunds
- Before payment: either side can cancel at no cost.
- A renter cancelling after paying but before the service starts is refunded 100% if they cancel within 30 minutes of paying or more than 48 hours before the start; 50% between 24 and 48 hours before the start; and nothing if less than 24 hours before the start.
- If a provider cancels a paid booking before it starts, the renter is refunded in full.
- A paid booking cannot be cancelled once the service has started; use the completion and problem-reporting process instead.
- Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Reviews and badges
After the payment is released, both sides can review each other once. Reviews must be honest and about the service. They stay visible on the reviewed person's profile and can't be edited or deleted by their author. Provider badges (New, Rising, Top Rated) are calculated automatically from completed bookings, ratings, response rate and cancellations, and may change.
9. Safety
We do not carry out background checks on members, and ID verification and badges are not a guarantee about anyone. Please read our safety advice. You are responsible for your own decisions when meeting people or handing over property.
10. Suspending or closing accounts
We may remove content, cancel bookings, or suspend or close an account if these terms or the Community Guidelines are broken, to protect other members, or where the law requires. You can stop using Chronorent. at any time and ask us to close your account.
11. Our responsibility
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Subject to that, and because services and items are provided by members and not by us, we are not liable for the quality, safety or legality of what members offer, or for losses caused by members' actions, to the extent the law allows.
12. Changes, complaints and law
We may update these terms; if a change matters we will tell you and the new version applies from the date shown. If you have a complaint, contact us at hello.rentmy@gmail.com and we will try to resolve it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes — but if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also use the courts there.
